How to find the nearest scooter
To find a Smart e-scooter near you, simply open the app. You’ll automatically be taken to the map screen, showing all available e-scooters in your area. If you don’t see any e-scooter icons displayed on the map, zoom out to search a wider area.
How to unlock
To unlock a Smart e-scooter, open the Smart app and tap on the “Ride” button at the bottom of the screen. From here you can scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or manually enter the 11-digit vehicle code located beneath the QR code.
Before you ride
Please make sure the brakes are working, the tires are undamaged and the lights are working.
Please, ensure you have enough phone battery before you ride. If you ran out of battery while riding, the scooter will be considered abandoned and you may be charged a fee.
The unlock fee of €1 plus an additional 15c per minute.
You can simply add a payment method to your account. To do that, open your profile in the app, click on the payment method and chose the option that suits you best.
Our e-scooters operate from 6:00am to 10:00pm
Is there an age limit
You must be over the age of 17.
Is there a weight limit
129kg or 285lbs.
You can access your receipts for your Smart rides via the app.
If you have contacted Support and are due a refund, please allow 5 to 10 working days for the money to return to your account.
Are the batteries waterproof
The battery is splash proof, meaning it can withstand both rain and snow.
Do I need to charge the battery
Our electric scooters are constantly monitored by our staff. When a scooters battery is running low, our team will swap out the battery and replace with a full battery.
How do I check the battery level
It’s simple. Just tap the icon within the app to view available battery life.
How far can I travel on a single journey
Smart has a maximum range of 49 kms, depending on usage.
The maximum speed limit is 17km.
We highly recommend you wear a helmet, safety first guys!
Smart e-Scooters must be parked in allocated parking areas as shown in the app.
Does the scooter have more than 20% battery?
Have you turned on Bluetooth and 4G?
Do you have the latest version of the Smart app.
Is there enough money in your app wallet?
Try closing and restarting the app.

Scooter shut down
If a scooter slowed down and stopped during your ride, it’s most likely ran out of battery. Always check the battery level if you start a long journey.
A scooter requires more than 30% if you’re planning a long trip.
Sometimes scooters won’t connect when you’re trying to end a ride. The reason for this might be poor connection or bad signal.
Make sure that you’re standing right next to the scooter. Reboot the app. Make sure that your app is updated.
